too much knowledge a good thing or not?
We all agree that knowledge is more important than money. Now what? Is too much knowledge a good thing or a bad thing? What do you think? It seems like that is the case with the Lawyer. What does he say about wisdom and society?
I think too much knowledge is not a good thing.Because the lawyer had too much knowledge, he despised everything in this world.If he didn't know a lot, maybe he would be happy to live in this world.
I think too much knowledge is bad thing.Because the lawyer had too much knowledge, he was different person in this world.Nobody endorsed his point of view. Maybe he says money are evil origin in this world, the wisdom are everything.
I think that too much knowlegde have good thing also it have bad thing. The good thing is that person have known more things that other.The bad thing is people don't their own opinion.
I think too much knowledge is not a good thing because the lawyer can use the knowledge to find the leak of law and to commit a crime when he do not return money to banker.
Remember, the Lawyer really lost the bet--he renounced the 2 million ON PURPOSE! He made a decision to leave before 12 so that he gave up the right to win the money. But why? That's the question.
I think too much knowledge is no good because the all things have positive and negative. so too many knowledge will affect yuor decide. the lawyer want tell me ,we can have not money in the society but we can't have not konwledge in the society.
I think too much knowledge is not a good thing.Because if we depend on too much knowledge in our life,we will be controlled and lose fact. He will say though this world has changed ,but knowleage still is everything
@ Guannan and YiChen You are so right.....we can't take the money with us when we go (die) and everything has a positive and and a negative aspect to it.
i think the knowledge is good things ,because you can use the knowledge to do a lot of things.but the lawyer doesn't have take the money. because he despise unearned and good things from book
i think that too much things is a good thing in a person' life,because when you have knowledge,knowledge is always belong to you.But money will be lost anytime.
I think have knowledge is a good thing,but have a lot of knowledge is not a good thing.Because the lawyer had too much knowledge,he thinks he was very clever in the world,he was scorned everybady and everything.so i think too much knowledge is not a good thing.
I think too much knowledge is not a good thing . Because knowledge is not only to bring our benefit, but also bring us harm. Too much knowledge makes us more trouble. Lawyers to tell us in society can not do without knowledge, but without money does not matter.
I think more knowledge is good for us.people usually say live and learn through die. knowledge is endless.that's why we have school for old people.you know more knowledge means you live will eazy more than other people.
I think having knowledge is a good thing.that is why we go to school and study. but for the lawyer too much knowledge is not a good thing.when he has too much knowledge,he become hate everything and he think he is the best one in the world. he become a conceited person.so he give up the bet.

Like the lawyer,he gets too much knowledge,but he is crazy,he hates everything.He renounces the money because he has too much knowledge,he thinks he is the best one.But he doesn't realize the world is also develop,he can't keep pace with the times after 15 years.
I trust everything have pros and cons. But about this story I think knowledge is bad for lawyer than is bad thing.If he didn't have too much knowledge he wouldn't has his sad end.
I think has too much knowledge is a bad things，like laywer，he knows too much things，he become crazy，he thinks everything is nothing. Maybe we know too much things， we will not happy. Like children，they don't know a lot of things, but they are the happiest.
...I really feel the story & I understand that over knowledge made lowyer crazy like he thinks that he knows every thing & he is the best & the after a long time in presonment the lowyer become easy to live alone & he becoe like crazy...He just distroyed his 90% life by this over knoledge. So as a result he really lose...:( I am sad that at first I thought that life in presonement is good. but now I looked at the lowyer's life & started unlikeing the life in presonement. & any way I was also thinking that what will someone do in 15 years in a threshold, stuck in a table...oh thats makes me creepy...I would sleep for 15 years, oh god... any way, after listening the story, I would choose the capital punishment, cause If u choose the life in presonment... that will make your life not more then a hell... so i thought if I'm a criminal who killed someone & have to choose 1 from those choice, then I would choose capital punishment. I don't want to live in hell, I want a peace life or don't want my life, that's what every one in this world are trying...
Ms.De Pas, If u don't mind, plz write about my comment, Cause I wanna know if there is any wrong in my decision...
So now we all can see that there really isn't a clear or simple answer to any of these questions. It is a matter of opinion. There is no right or wrong answer. I think, as many people do, that capital punishment is wrong --it takes away a life, and the state may make a mistake, an eye for an eye is wrong. Life imprisonment is better but.....life is hell as Hasib/Mohammad said. That's a better punishment in my opinion. The real terrible or awful punishment is solitary confinement. That's what makes people go crazy. That's the problem. But.....if you are a killer then you deserve to suffer.
